Huh? A day at school...

Part one:
Today when we arrived at school it smelled like pizza. Hmmm..."Oh my! I thought to myself there are several boxes of pizza on the desk. Whatever for?" In come the teachers (students are all in class with no authorities). They begin to open the pizza boxes, twist open the sodas, and serve. "Oh duh! It's a pizza party at 9:15am". Everyone enjoyed the revels, ate, talked, were merry and then went back to class by 9:25am. Whew!
Part two:
Fabulous classes all day and tons of fun. Hooray!
Part three:
Today we were taken to look at two apartments in Dogye. It was an outing for all. Me, Michael, #1, #2, #4, Kim Sun Teacher, a student from my third grade class, and her mom. At first I thought maybe the mom was the one who had an apartment for lease. She led us to some older apartments amidst some lovely trees and into...her own apartment. As it turns out, we were not able to see the actual apt. we would be moving into, should we choose to move to Dogye, because there are none available at the moment. They just wanted to check to see if we liked it and if we did they would work on getting one for us. From where, we wondered. Does someone's lease expire? Are they switching someone out for us? Who knows? The apartment was small but cozy; clean but with no kitchen space; heated by gas and has a stove. Maybe.

Just for the sake of comparison, we were taken up a road back towards the school to a "house" that was like that of the crooked man who walked a crooked mile but far worse. We were shown in by a lady who spit to the right upon showing us in. The entrance was through the bathroom (naturally). And though there was a shower head protruding from the wall, there was no conceivable toilet to be seen. There were three moldy, cold rooms in all that just flowed into each other. On our way out a spider the size of my fist ran by. Michael looked like he had a few questions. I said, "Really we don't need to ask any questions". Michael's reply was a confused, "But...there's no toilet, no kitchen..."
And that was that.

Take a deep breath...the good news is we have two ripe and gorgeous avocados at home!

I love that they are trying. We will try to make up our mind soon. The little apartment was much smaller than we are used to but we may be able to swing it. Wish us luck. :-)
