Our lunch with Park Jung Sun's Family

Earlier this week I wrote about Park Jung Sun and her generous family. Here are the pis from that Day!
Here's a shot of the whole gang...Mina (tongue sticking out, Older sister, Eric (our young translator), me, Michael, Grandma...

On our way to go shopping...Grandma with me and Eric...
At one point Eric said, "Grandma wants to know if you are shy because she is holding your arm." Also grandma seemed to really like my arms and kept touching them when ever the moment presented itself. She was very sweet and welcoming.

Our trip to the shoe store. Definitely time for more photos!!!!!!
You can see our good friend Park Jung Sun in both of these shots!

I really love our new friend. She is silly, artistic, and fun. Her niece called her "Super Big Baby" cuz she is soooooooo silly. Yea!!!!
From an earlier post...
Chuseok Monday we went out to lunch with our Korean friend and her mom, older sister, and niece and nephew. When they cam to pick us up the mom hopped out of the car greeted us a with a huge "nice to meet you!" followed by tons of laughter. It turns out she had spent much time practicing that phrase to say to us!
Not much was open post Chuseok in Samcheock, so they drove us all the Donghae, about 20 minutes away. We went a fabulous restaurant and were overwhelmed with the great food and kind people. I wish I had a picture of the table! Every last inch of it was covered with some dish or another. They got very excited everytime we ate something. We had some dulset bap too...rice in stone pot. We were told to empty our pots of rice into a glass bowl and pour boiling water into the pot. At the end of the meal we ate the watery rice for good health. :-)
We even went out shopping with the family for a bit. On the way to the shops the grandma grabbed a hold of my arm and hand as well as her grandsons and walked happily down the street with us both. We all had a really fantastic time!
